Members of the Steering Group and a range of other organisations recently took part in a Scenario Planning exercise at the HESA offices in Cheltenham. They considered trends affecting the development of the landscape and what they might mean in terms of the characteristics of the future environment.

The key trends are shown below.

Participants characterised the possible scenarios as:
